As a result, RATIONAL last year decided to harmonize its various HR data systems and transfer the individual processes into one global solution. The requirements profile was clear – the HCM solution should consolidate the HR data company-wide, clearly structure the recruiting process and map the annual target-setting process.

As a first step, tts configured the “Employee Central” HR master data system, the “Recruiting” applicant management tool and the “Performance & Goals” module for managing the target-setting process in line with customer demands. tts is constantly adapting the tools to new requirements while operations are ongoing.   

Thanks to the close, trusting collaboration – there are regular jour fixe meetings – RATIONAL is quick to benefit from the system advantages. For example, no matter which site, master data only has to be recorded once, and is then available group-wide. This saves time and minimizes the risk of input errors. This availability also applies across the modules – so any data entered via the Recruiting module during the application process is stored in the system and doesn’t have to be recorded again.

Flexibility – the ace up the sleeve

One thing is already clear – the ability to expand the solution offers RATIONAL maximum flexibility. Even the most urgent requirements, such as those arising from the new EU Working Time Directive (2003/88/EC) were implemented in a very short time thanks to rapid configuration and roll-out of the “Time & Attendance” Employee Central feature by tts. On top of this, RATIONAL saved having to purchase an additional software product as a result.

tts also successfully carried out further reconfigurations while operations were still ongoing, such as updating the performance forms and rolling out language packages.

The fact that many of the core functions can be used on mobile devices opens up whole new opportunities for staff members, for example, they are now able to book time off using their cell phones.

The expansion goes on

RATIONAL is planning to gradually make its HR processes more and more professional.
