Libraries can be used to make information available to learners in a collected and structured form. Digital libraries are easily accessible and can be used in a flexible way. Physical libraries can be places for gatherings across groups, for quiet and concentrated or joint learning and creation. Through the availability of media, other 'learning artefacts' and their haptic presence, libraries are inspiring and can illustrate the diversity of a certain area of study.
