Social whiteboarding is a mashup of different methods of collaborative knowledge gathering and structuring.

With the increased use of online whiteboards (e.g. Miro, Mural), curating material or continuing collaboration asynchronously on whiteboards have become more and more popular. Collaborators can individually add ideas and recommendations, which then can be reviewed and commented on by colleagues at any time.
The term was invented by the participants of a tts Open Fridays for Learning session.
