User-generated content includes all types of media content created by users and published digitally.

Examples of this include blog posts, reviews, encyclopedia articles, video blogs, and how-to documents. Learners develop a deeper understanding of the learning material by creating their own content (see also “Learning by Teaching”) and help their peers gain a better grasp of the learning material by sharing their posts.
Another advantage of user-generated content is that the content is often very topical and created from the point of view of those for whom it is relevant.
