The participants propose topics or subjects for discussion at the start of the event and create an agenda for the day based on them. This agenda usually involves several sessions running alongside one another (and they can also be virtual sessions).  This approach actively encourages everyone at the event to get involved, which in turn means that they bring up the topics that are actually important to them and can discuss them. BarCamps are similar to Open Spaces, but have a tighter schedule and are more flexible in terms of content.
