Community of practice

A community of practice (CoP) refers to a group of individuals with shared interests and concerns who proactively meet over an extended period of time to regularly share knowledge, reflect, or try out new methods together.

The focus is on learning in an informal social context. The members of a CoP can contribute to it in a variety of ways and contribute to the group’s growth in knowledge, regardless of their previous level of knowledge.
