Unlike conventional classroom training courses, where knowledge is conveyed face to face at a fixed time and place, eLearning requires each individual learner to create a space for the process. This calls for particular discipline and self-organization. Yet eLearning offers a multitude of benefits and learning incentives that neither conventional training nor studying books or operating instructions can deliver.

Multimedia eLearning options communicate content in exceptionally clear and interactive ways. Learners can use them anytime, anywhere, easily integrating them into their day-to-day lives and enabling structured learning within a short timeframe, even in decentralized companies.

These eLearning methods center on web-based training courses (WBTs). They communicate

  • process-oriented application knowledge in the form of simulated
IT applications (e.g. ‏SAP online training)
  • non-IT-based content, e.g. product training or soft skill training courses

Informing, motivating, learning

Knowledge can be transferred at various levels – from targeted access to information in the work context (informing) and didactically prepared course content (learning) to eye-catching promotional videos (motivating).

The design and production of WBTs are geared toward their intended use. State-of-the-art eLearning organizes knowledge transfer on a targeted and efficient basis in a method-based mix of information, learning and motivational content.

  • Web-based training for informing
Knowledge that is rarely used or is easily obtained from existing reserves is best offered in short and succinct formats.
  • Web-based training for learning
Fundamental and frequently used knowledge blocks are prepared didactically as course content.
  • Web-based training for motivating
Motivational and emotive content is ideal for overcoming learning barriers and communicating corporate goals, values and attitudes.
